Gulf Coast Industrial Security Awareness Council

The purpose of the Gulf Coast Industrial Security Awareness Council (GC ISAC) shall be to provide security professionals representing companies that operate under the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), as well as those that represent vital infrastructure and services, a centralized forum to discuss common issues and promote security awareness and training through the collective resources of the participants.
Active membership in the GC ISAC will be limited to security professionals employed by established defense contractors, serviced by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, and non-NISP companies who represent a vital infrastructure to the National Security within the geographical boundaries. Active members must provide an active company email address. Prospective members are asked to complete an application and submit to the Membership Chair at least 30 days prior to a scheduled meeting to allow the Board an opportunity to review the applications. Applicants must be in attendance at the meeting when their application is presented for a vote.

The geographical boundaries of the GC ISAC shall be commensurate with the area of responsibility (AOR) as defined by the Defense Counter Intelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) for the Biloxi Resident Office located at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi. The current AOR is the State of Louisiana, the lower half of Mississippi and Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida that borders Alabama and the Gulf of Mexico.
